No Serious Injury for on loan Dawkins

Initially, Tottenham Hotspur youngster Simon Dawkins’s injury sparked fears that he may have to be sent back to his parent club.

But thankfully, Martin Ling has today quashed that rumour, even suggesting Dawkins may be back for the two upcoming friendlies. ‘Fortunately it isn’t a bad twist and there was even a 50-50 chance that he was going to play last night.’ Ling said. ‘Hopefully with a bit a treatment he should be back in training soon and will have a chance of even being involved on Saturday at Boston or Dagenham on Wednesday.’

Ling also revealed how the other quartet of injured players are fairing. ‘We are doing fairly well on the injury front at the moment, as Sean Thornton should be over the virus he picked up to be involved on Saturday. Also I’ve been pleased to see Wayne (Gray), Tam (Mkandawire) and Alton (Thelwell) back in training as well this week. Wayne is probably the closest to returning although all three are still a long way behind the other players in terms of fitness.’

Lets look forward to seeing all five players, especially Dawkins, make strong comebacks in the next few days and weeks.
