Tonight, The O’s make a short journey to Victoria Road for a friendly with Dagenham and Redbridge.

New boy Simon Dawkins will make his first appearance for the O’s after an ankle injury he picked up in the club’s pre-season tour of Belgium prevented him from playing in the last two matches.

Dawkins, who has joined the Brisbane Road outfit on an six month loan deal from Tottenham and is now poised to make his first appearance in Orient colours.

However, striker Ryan Jarvis misses out as the former Norwich striker is struggling with a slight groin strain. Centre halves Tamika Mkandawire and Alton Thelwell are also out but the pair are expected to be resuming full training soon.

Youngsters Chris Robson and Patrick O’Donnell have all also been included in Ling’s 20-man squad, as they were for the last game against Boston United.

The match kicks off at 7.45pm at Victoria Road tonight before the O’s travel to football league new boys Aldershot on Saturday.
