Orient were involved in a frustrating draw at Stevenage in their final pre-season game before the new campaign begins.

After a woeful first half where Steve Morrison gave Boro the lead from a tight angle after being put through, Orient rallied and completely dominated the 2nd forty-five, but could not convert the numerous chances they created for themselves.

Ryan Jarvis, Tamika Mkandawire, Steven Purches amongst others wasted efforts or had them saved by ex-o Ashley Bayes who was impressive and also had time to have some banter with the travelling Orient fans. Jonny Martin also played.

Martin Ling tinkered with formations from 4-3-3 in the first half to 4-4-2 in the second half. Jamie Jones was superb in goal and a revitalised JJ Melligan ran the show from midfield. Tam Mkandawire looked his usual excellent self, playing 90 minutes.

Another impressive player was second half sub Sean Thornton. He showed that gifted touch he posseses and scored an excellent free kick to level the scores.
