Leyton Orient’s survival hopes took a huge blow as they slumped to a 1-0 loss at Rochdale.

Fabio Liverani’s side could have moved out of the relegation zone with a victory but despite a promising first half showing, the O’s produced a contrasting second half display.

Rochdale took full advantage of Orient’s poor performance after the break and Ian Henderson scored the only goal of the match on the 66th minute to leave the O’s two points from safety.

With now only two matches remaining against Sheffield United and Swindon, survival looks unlikely for the O’s which will bring a 9-year stint in League 1 to an end.
