Saint looking good for Orient…

Well it’s another game back at Fortress Brisbane Road (hey, one defeat in five; it’s almost respectable), and Southampton are the visitors for the first time since, well since I was born. If that’s making anyone reading this feel old, that’s because you are old.

Still, speaking of creaking and knackered, Adam Chambers will be making a comeback to the matchday squad as the Os look for a win which would stick them half way up this tightest of tables. The playoff charge back on! Well, not quite. Still, a defeat would see the relegation charge back on track, as Southampton would close to within a point. Gulp!

For their part, the Saints will probably have about half the crowd at the Matchbox Stadium, so I’m sure they’ll enjoy the funereal atmosphere and flat pack stands we’ve got on offer at our soulless hole of a ground.

Leyton Orient Team News:

Skipper Stephen Purches and the aforementioned Adam Chambers will both return to the matchday squad.

Jamie Jones and Sean Thornton are still unavailable.

Player to watch: Luke Summerfield

Southampton Team News:

Ex-Colchester skipper Dean Hammond may be unavailable, as might recent signing David Connolly.

Orient will become the only side in the division to face Rickie Lambert three times in the League this season. He scored last time out, but we took the spoils. Reckon I’ll take this time too…

Player to watch: Rickie Lambert
