Orient reserves were beaten 3-2 at AFC Hornchurch after a poor and disjointed performance. The O`s battled back from 1-0 down to lead 2-1 thanks to strikes from Donny Barnard and Jason Demetriou, but a poor second half performance saw the hosts make a comeback and run out 3-2 winners.

A disappointed Dean Smith was less than impressed with his players showing after the defeat. ‘This is the kind of game we should be winning comfortably,’ he said. ‘We needed to put on our professional heads but we just didn’t do that tonight.’We looked more like a team of individuals than a unit and I was disappointed with their attitude”.

Despite the defeat, Smith did acknowledge some positives.’On the plus side, Shane Tudor had 90 minutes and did well. Along with Jason Demetriou and Aiden Palmer, they were the biggest positives from the night.

Orient: Alex Jennings (Michael Doyle HT); Jason Demetriou, Clayton Fortune, Brian Saah, Aiden Palmer; Shane Tudor, Joe Keith, Donny Barnard, Derek Duncan (Loick Pires 60); Raphael Sylvester (Steve Zakuani HT), Daryl McMahon.
