The 35-year-old striker, who scored five goals during a successful loan spell towards the end of last season, is a free agent having been released by League Two Wycombe.
McGleish was a key figure in Orient`s late surge away from the relegation zone and defender Mkandawire wants the front man to end the speculation over his future by finally agreeing to stay at Brisbane Road.
‘We want him to say. You can see Scott’s quality,’ said Mkandawire.
‘He works hard for the team, he wins his fair share of headers and more importantly he scores goals. It was his goals that kept us up really.’
