Jamie Jones` mistake against Yeovil led to the winning goal in the opening day defeat at Huish Park. However, he bounced back against Swindon and produced two superb point blank stops to keep the O`s in the game.

Goals from Ryan Jarvis and Alex Revell were enough to get the win over Swindon and Jones says the entire team is now focused on beating Charlton in Orient`s first home game of the season live on Sky.

Speaking on the official Leyton Orient website, Jones said: “The boys showed great character to go to Swindon and get a great result. We weren’t happy with the way we played in the first half. We just had to show a little more bottle and belief in ourselves and we did that after half time.”

“There was a good 25 minute spell in the second half and we got the two goals during that time – I had to bounce back from Saturday – it was a big thing for me to go to Swindon and put a performance together.”

It`s important that the O`s can carry the little momentum they have into the game against Charlton. Charlton will bring a lot of fans to Brisbane Road on Friday and will be equally determined to do well as the game is live on television.

The fact that the next game comes so soon after the win at Swindon can be used positively by the O`s. Had they been made to wait a week for their next game then some of the confidence and excitement that they currently possess would have been lost.

The O`s will have to improve upon their first-half display at Swindon, which was, quite frankly appalling. This is because Charlton may not let Orient off the hook as easily as Swindon did.

Jones added: “The boys are buzzing. Saturday was very disappointing for us, so to go back to the dressing room with a win under our belts was a great feeling. We went to Swindon and bounced back. Bring on Charlton now!”
