Boyd out? Jarvis, Gray, McGleish and Church in?

First up the bad news:

It’s been reported by the Waltham Forest Guardian that last season’s top scorer Adam Boyd, is going to be out for about a month.

Dean Morgan replaced Boyd after just 25 minutes of the recent home match vs Crewe.

He didn’t appear to have picked up an impact injury so it seems likely it is a tear or muscle-pull.

And now the better news:

It seems to be that Geraint Williams has moved quickly to fill the void left by Boyd by bringing in the young Wales under-21 striker Simon Church on-loan from Reading.

The loan signing of Church follows hotly on the heels of Scott McGleish’s return to Brisbane Road on-loan from Wycombe last week.

Whilst we’re on the subject of Strikers, Ryan Jarvis scored against Southend as the reserves run-out 2-0 victors against local rivals Southend, which can only do the young strikers confidence a world of good.

In the same reserve game Wayne Gray pulled on an O’s shirt since his long-term injury and played the first 45 minutes.

Doesn’t Boydy fancy a trip back to the Vic? Maybe it’s because we’re landing him in the summer! 😀

Don’t forget also that former Palace and Cov’s pacy front man Wayne Andrews has joined the O’s on trial and also played for the ressies.

Boydy scored against you last year! He is definitely a true O now.

And wasn’t he chased out of Hartlepool?

You will miss Adam Boyd as he has the knack of finding the onion bag…..Good to see another ex Ipswich Town player making a go of management.
