Leyton Orient boosted their survival hopes with a crucial 3-0 win at home to Yeovil Town.

Orient got off to a dream start with only two minutes on the clock when Chris Dagnall swept the ball home from 18-yards.

Ryan Hedges had recently scored his first professional goal in the win at Walsall last month and the winger was on hand to double the O’s lead on the 7th minute.

With Orient well in control Darius Henderson had an effort tipped onto the post before Dagnall was also denied by the woodwork moments later.

Jobi McAnuff then sealed the win for Orient on the 60th minute after collecting Henderson’s pass to slot home.

The win is not enough to move Orient out of the drop zone however as Coventry also recorded a win away at Chesterfield.

Fabio Liverani’s men remain two points from safety and host Barnsley on Tuesday night.
