A distinctly lacklustre O’s were torn apart by a stylish Peterborough United side at London Road on Saturday. Orient suffered their first defeat of the season with Craig Mackail-Smith getting two goals and ex-orient frontman Aaron Mclean also getting on the scoresheet.

Posh took the lead a minute before half time and were quick to react after the break with another quick goal, before extending their lead mid way through the half. The 3-0 victory gave Peterborough their first win in League one and got their season of to a start.

Martin Lings men had an impressive spell of possession, mainly through Sean Thornton, but with no end product.
