Leyton Orient are now three points from safety following their 0-0 draw against Barnsley.

Orient dominated the first half but failed to find a breakthrough despite Chris Dagnall, Darius Henderson and Jobi McAnuff all having chances to put the hosts ahead.

The second half proved to be a more open affair however as Barnsley grew into the tie and Alex Cisak was forced into a brilliant save to keep out Conor Hourihane’s free-kick.

Adam Davies was in inspired form in the Barnsley goal and the stopper pulled off a number of crucial saves with Bradley Pritchard coming the closest moments after Andrea Dossena had curled a free-kick narrowly wide.

Barnsley were reduced to 10-men when Milan Lalkovic was shown a red card for a reckless tackle on Nathan Clarke late on but there was not enough time for Orient to make the breakthrough afterwards.

With results elsewhere not doing Orient any favours the O’s drop down a position to 22nd and are three points from safety.
