LOFC – Smith Signs

Orient have today signed former Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder Jamie Smith and have suggested that more is to come.

Smith, a local boy from Leytonstone, has joined on what is being described by Russell Slade as a ‘development contract’ until the end of the season.

The 22 year-old come through the academy at Crystal Palace before linking up with the South Coast side in 2009 who were managed by Slade at the time.

Smith has made just 14 appearances in his career, with 12 of those coming in Albion’s title winning campaign last year.

Smith, who will wear number 25 whilst at Brisbane Road, made his last appearance in December 2010.
