Both Jimmy Smith and Ben Chorley will miss Orient’s nPower League One clash with Sheffield United at Brisbane Road tomorrow. Both players have sat out of games through thigh injuries.

Chorley has trained during the week, however, he is still ‘very doubtful’ according to Russell Slade. The ex-Arsenal trainee hasn’t played since the 2-1 victory over Preston North End that kick started Orient’s season on October 1st. It is expected that Slade will stick with the same defence that kept a clean sheet against Bury of Scott Cuthbert, Terrell Forbes, Leon McSweeney and Charlie Daniels.

Smith, formerly of Blades’ city neighbours Wednesday, hasn’t played since the Carling Cup third round tie at Premier League Blackburn Rovers. Smith left the Ewood Park pitch after 78 minutes and hasn’t featured since, stretching back to September 20th.

Ben Alnwick, on loan from Tottenham Hotspur, is said to be well on the road to recovery after a groin injury. This will allow Lee Butcher to keep his place in the Orient goal after keeping a clean sheet a week ago against The Shakers.

Jonathan Téhoué (broken arm) will miss out along with long term injury victims Jamie Jones and David Button (both shoulder).
