The Siberian weather that has hit the country this week has proved too much for Oldham Athletic’s Boundary Park as Orient were scheduled to make the trip north to face The Latics tomorrow.

A pitch inspection was undertaken at around midday by a local referee, who declared the pitch ‘too dangerous’ for tomorrow’s League One clash, meaning Orient will have to make the long trip to Oldham on a Tuesday night in the near future.

The postponement could be seen as a blessing in disguise for The O’s as we are currently without a recognised full back after Adam Chicksen returned to parent club Milton Keynes Dons and with a huge whole in the middle of the pitch after captain Stephen Dawson left for Barnsley. With the loan transfer window opening on Monday it gives Russell Slade the chance to add to his depleted side before next week’s home game against Huddersfield Town side.
