Ryan Hedges and Chris Dagnall scored in the space of four second half minutes to hand Leyton Orient a 2-0 victory at Walsall.

Following a goalless first half Orient took the lead on the 56th minute through Swansea loanee Hedges who collected a chipped pass from Shane Lowry before smashing home the first professional goal of his career.

The O’s then wasted little time in doubling their advantage minutes later when Hedges this time turned provider and picked out Dagnall who crashed in an effort at the near post.

The win moves Orient up to 21st in League One and only a point from safety going into Tuesday’s nights home match against table-toppers Bristol City.
