Butterflies Causing Havoc

If you?re anything like me then you probably failed to get more than five minutes sleep last night due to the ridiculous amount of butterflies causing havoc with your stomach. This is the game that everyone has been waiting for, and perhaps at last Orient can go into a game with Wanderers confident that they can end this unimpressive sequence of results against tonight?s opponents. Orient have failed to beat Wycombe in their previous four league encounters and suffered a 3-2 defeat last season at the Causeway having been 3-0 down by half time. Yet, unlike last season, this is a rather different Orient side, or so we hope, and that is why after no sleep whatsoever I feel myself to be quite relaxed.

After all, it must be pointed out that Orient never win at these places do they? Well that used to be the case, but not anymore it would seem. It is not foolish to point out that had somebody forecasted Orient winning six and drawing four of their opening ten away fixtures, then they may have found themselves excommunicated from the community and shoved inside the Priory hospital. However, with six fine away wins plus cup successes at both Rushden and Chesterfield, the Causeway Stadium should prove little fear for the men in red. With the Sky Sports cameras broadcasting to the nation, Martin Ling must make sure Orient overcome any stage fright and prevent a comic showing in this Pantomime season.

A Cracker!

It should be a real cracker tonight, and hopefully Orient will perform admirably. There are 2,000 tickets on sale at the gate tonight for O?s fans, and they will be located in the Dreams Stand. Make sure you leave in plenty of time as the roads are still pretty icy following the recent weather. Car parking is provided by the large car parks in the industrial parks for a cost of £3. Tickets are £16 for adults, £13 for OAP?s and Students, and £12 for juniors. Alternatively if you don?t fancy the trek, or can?t get there tonight then join Sky Sports 2 from 7pm.

We?ll have a full match report from the game by late tonight or tomorrow morning. Until then Up the O?s!

Wycombe Wanderers Team News:

Wycombe are undefeated at home in the league this season, despite losing at home to Northampton in the F.A. Cup 1st round. They have Danny Senda suspended, and former England international Rob Lee is doubtful having taken a knock during the 2-2 draw at Torquay on Boxing Day. Wycombe have taken one point in the last two games having lost their unbeaten record at Bury 2-1, losing in the final minute to a Simon Whaley goal. Orient should have Shane Tudor back after he served his suspension following his red card at Rochdale. That could mean that Wayne Carlisle drops back to the bench to let Tudor back in on the right hand side. Orient have scored 9 goals in their past two games, and will be hoping that the front pairing of Alexander and Steele can carry on where they left off this evening.

Danny Senda is suspended and Robert Lee is doubtful.
