Mathieu Baudry has said that despite our loss to Southend, we aren’t out of the JPT yet.

Speaking to the Official Site following the defeat, the defender said of the game.

‘We are very disappointed because we created a lot of opportunities to go ahead and then they scored. If we create as many chances in the return game that’s encouraging. It’s only half time and we will try to make it up. Now we go to their place and win, it’s as simple as that.’

On the game Baudry added that in some ways we can consider ourselves unlucky to not at least be level, as he says their keeper made a number of outstanding saves, and of course we hit the woodwork.

He also admits that he thinks he should’ve done better on their goal and the deflection, but again that’s something he will be looking to right in the second leg.

One thing he doesn’t want us to do though is focus only on the potential Wembley trip and take our eye off the league because the play offs have to be an important aim.
