The season is fast approaching and Leyton Orient have not yet appointed a club captain.

Nothing as yet has even been mentioned with no obvious choices. The fact that there are no obvious leaders must be slightly worrying as every team needs a strong solid captain.

New signing Stephen Purches looks the most likely to succeed John Mackie as he has been captain during Orient’s tour to Ibiza.

However nothing is set in stone as yet and it will be interesting to see who manager Martin Ling picks to lead the side.
