Leyton Orient’s League 2 season continued with a win against Stevenage at Brisbane Road on Tuesday.

A recovery from the weekend defeat was seen by Leyton Orient with a three-nil win secured over Stevenage.

Having survived an early worry when Parkes cleared a Godden effort off the line Simpson saw his effort saved by Jones with Cornick heading against the crossbar to follow up before Massey scored at the third attempt to give Orient the lead.

Cox doubled the Orient lead ahead of half time with the points secured beyond a doubt when Massey scored his second, and the O’s third, with 15-minutes to play.

Here’s a round up of the League 2 action from the other matches played.

Not too many draws played out on Tuesday with the majority of games ending with a winner but one draw saw six-goals seen at Crewe with the Railwaymen and Hartlepool playing out a three-three draw.

Colchester are looking good to start the season, after dropping into League 2, with the U’s seeing off Football League returnees Grimsby edging out a five-goal match at the Weston Homes Community Stadium in a three-two win.

A three-nil win saw Leyton Orient get a home win over Stevenage with Plymouth’s disappointing start to the season ending with a win at Notts County, the Pilgrims went him with a two-one win.

On the topic of ‘disappointing’ that brings us to title favourites Portsmouth. They continue to wait for that illusive win; successive draws were followed up by a two-nil defeat at Morecambe’s Globe Arena.
