Port Vale have swooped to sign ex-Orient duo Shane Tudor and Justin Miller.

The two players, who were an integral part of Orient`s promotion winning side in 2006,were released by Martin Ling after a disappointing League One campaign.

However, the two men have be reunited at Vale Park and Tudor in particular is delighted with the way things have worked out.

He said: ‘There have been one or two clubs in this area who have shown an interest, but I made the decision to come to Port Vale early.

‘I spoke to Martin, Dean and the Chairman and it was their hunger and their keenness to bring me here that was a big factor in my decision to come.

‘It’s a nice big pitch area here, the stadium is finally being finished, so if we can get a good start to the season and get the crowds back, I think it could be a good, exciting season.’

Meanwhile Justin Miller also expressed his pleasure in making the move to Vale and is delighted to be joining Tudor once again.

He said: ‘It wasn’t a difficult decision. I knew Shane was heading this way. I came down and spoke to the manager, had a look around and it looked a nice place to come.

‘Me and Shane are good friends. We have played together for the last two years. He plays in front of me and we work well together and we are friends as well, so that definitely helps.

‘I spent four years at Ipswich playing centre half and then I played centre half when on loan at Orient for three months, but then I slotted in at right back and have been there ever since.

‘I think I now prefer playing at right back, but I am happy to play anywhere and I am looking forward to the challenge at Port Vale.’
