Orient`s Shane Tudor is to undergo an operation this Thursday in an effort to clear up a persistent ankle injury. The former Cambridge United man had a previous operation on the same ankle last April; however, another operation will now be needed.

Orient manager Martin Ling said: “It will be a blow to lose Shane but this will be a chance for him to clear up the problem once and for all. It’s an injury he’s had for some time and the ankle keeps locking up after every game, and hopefully this operation will get to the bottom of it”.

There is better news ahead of Saturday`s relegation clash with Rotherham with both Glyn Garner and Michael Simpson likely to be available after both players missed the 4-1 defeat at Brighton last Saturday. Garner has recovered from illness whilst Simpson will return after suffering with a hamstring problem.

Craig Easton will not return in time for the game on Saturday as his groin injury is taking longer to heal than first expected whilst Efe Echanomi will see a specialist as he continues to make his comeback after breaking his leg.
