Anthony Griffith looks set to finally complete his return to Port Vale this week.

The tough-tackling midfielder has been on Micky Adams’s shortlist all summer long after impressing during his loan spell toward the end of last season at Vale Park.

Griffith did not feature in the friendly against Welling on Friday adding fuel to the fire that the Montserrat international could be on his way out of the club.

According to The Sentinel, Vale look set to finalise deals for two more players this week with Griffith likely to be one of them.

Whilst it would be disappointing to see him leave, it is difficult to see where the ex-Doncaster man fits into Russell Slade’s plan for next season.
