Martin Ling saw his Orient side lose yet again at Brisbane Road following a poor peformance against an impressive Northampton side. Speaking after the game, Ling said ‘There were too many people out there on an off-day and two individual errors cost us goals – Glyn should have done better with the first one and Jabo Ibehre’s got to mark his man when he comes back for corners’.

Ling also claimed that not enough of his players gave the performance that was needed to win the game against the Cobblers. According to Ling,’The two centre-halves did their job and Michael Simpson had a decent game but too many around them weren’t good enough to beat a team of Northampton’s quality?.

Although Orient failed to click into top gear, Ling still thought that they may have nicked a point during the seven minutes of stoppage time. ling commented that, ‘We thought there was still a chance at the end when seven minutes went up and they got nervy, but it would have flattered us – they were the better side’.

Ling must now turn his attention to Wrexham next Saturday as the O’s now face four consecutive games away from home…thank goodness for that!
