Russell Slade was victorious as he was voted League 1 manager of the month for March.

The O’s boss led his side to a great run last month winning four and drawing two of their seven matches during that spell, with the only defeat coming at Scunthorpe.

That run was enough to convince the Football League panel that he deserved the award which is the first time he has won it during his three years at the club.

Speaking to the Orient website after receiving the award, Slade gave credit to the rest of his support staff.

‘It`s nice to be recognised, it`s not just me it`s the management team as a whole really, it`s a team award.’
