Orient manager Russell Slade has quickly responded to the speculation linking him to the West Bromwich Albion job.

In an interview with Sky Sports News, Slade admitted he was grateful to have been linked to the Premier League side.

‘It’s nice to be linked to a Premier League club when you are a League One manager.

‘There are some really talented managers outside the Premier League, under people’s noses, but they don’t get recognised.’

Despite this, the 53 year-old was quick to reaffirm his commitment to Leyton Orient and his desire to get the club promoted.

‘But the total focus is my football club. It’s speculation and I just want to get us into the Championship.’

Slade took over as Orient manager back in April 2010 and continued to add why he is happy with life in E10.

‘I have a two-year deal here and the great thing about this club is, and it’s not all about pounds and pence, but it’s that I’m able to manage this football club, to put my stamp on it.’
