Leyton Orient are represented in the latest Football League team of the week that has been selected after this week’s action.

The performance by Ollie Palmer in the three one victory over Hartlepool United at the weekend at Victoria Park was enough to earn them a place in the side alongside the other most impressive performers in the Football League pyramid.

I think we’ll already know ourselves, and not just based on the latest performance, why Palmer was selected as part of the team but explaining the choice – the FL blurb read.

‘Palmer struck twice for Orient, who ended a seven-match wait for victory with a 3-1 win at Hartlepool United. The goals capped a second-half turnaround for the O’s, giving Alberto Cavasin his first victory in the EFL.’

It’s always good to see the club represented in this way, and well played to Palmer for his recognition, but the most important thing about the weekend was of course the win.

Full Team:

Russell Griffiths (Cheltenham Town), Jon Meades (Wimbledon), Jordan Willis (Coventry City), Alex Baptiste (Preston North End), Brad Potts (Blackpool), Erhun Oztumer (Walsall), Anthony Wordsworth (Southend United), Paul Anderson (Northampton Town), Ayoze Perez (Newcastle United), Ollie Palmer (Leyton Orient), Adam Campbell (Notts County).

Manager – Steve Bruce (Aston Villa).
