Martin Ling today completed the signing of Adam Tann from League Two rivals Notts County. Tann who has previously played for Cambridge United and Gravesend was on non-contract terms at Meadow Lane. Tann played just 5 games for County due to injury and suspension, and managed one goal on his debut against Bristol City in the F.A.Cup.

Tann spent 5 years at Cambridge United before leaving in 2005. He spent time on trial at Championship side Reading before joining Gravesend for a very brief stint in the Conference. He joined County on non-contract terms and impressed at both centre back and right back. Tann has just returned from an injured cheekbone suffered in December and made his return last weekend during Notts County’s 2-0 defeat to Wycombe.

Tann will be ineligible for Orient’s trip to Charlton as he is cup-tied. However, he should travel with the squad to Wrexham this weekend. His signing follows the departures of central defenders Christian Hanson and Joe Dolan. Yesterday, Wayne Carlisle left for Exeter City, so Martin Ling is still believed to be after both a wide man and a striker.
