Mauro Milanese was denied a first win as O’s boss by a last minute equaliser at home to Coventry.

Scott Cuthbert and Jay Simpson had headed Orient in to a second half lead and it looked as though the O’s would claim their first home win of the season until Jim O’Brien grabbed his second of the match in the 91st minute.

In a fairly dull first half Coventry took the lead on the 35th minute when Nathan Clarke’s slip allowed Gary Madine to stride down the left and pull the ball back for O’Brien to sidefoot home.

Orient improved after the break and were level on the 54th minute when Cuthbert headed in a Dean Cox corner.

The O’s then look the lead with 20 minutes remaining when defender mathieu Baudry floated a teasing ball into the box which Simpson nodded past Lee Burge.

As soon as the fourth official had shown how much additional time was to be played Coventry equalised when Gary Woods punch fell to O’Brien on the edge of the box to fire in an equaliser despite Baudry’s last ditch attempt on the line.
