Leyton Orient Chairman Barry Hearn has announced that the club intends to give away 1500 season tickets for the 2013/14 season to the youth and students in the local community.

Backed by Hearn`s company Matchroom Sport, the initiative is aiming to capture the imagination of local youngsters in the east London area into watching some live football whilst boosting lagging attendance figures at Brisbane Road.

Speaking to the club website the Orient chairman is hoping to get a new generation watching football at the Matchroom Stadium.

“A free season ticket provides someone the chance to not only come down and stand up for their local club but also to most importantly watch some exciting football and develop a lifelong affiliation with the club.”

The tickets will be situated in the East Stand, which at times over recent seasons has started to look empty as supporters chose to move to the newer built and more modern stands around the ground.

Applicants must be aged between 14-18 or 18-21 if you are in full time education, with the tickets available to apply for from tomorrow on the Stand Up For The Orient website.
