Leyton Orient spent just over £37,000 on agents fees during the 2012/13 season according to the Agents Fees Report.

The report is published by the Football League after every season to make football deals more transparent to the public.

Last term Orient spent £37,155 on agents fees on a total of 32 deals which they were involved in last term, which put them 12th in the league ranking of agent fee spending.

Unsurprisingly big spending Bournemouth paid out the most in terms of agent costs, whacking out an enormous £688,666 on agents during their deals.

Unlike the big money Cherries, Crewe and Hartlepool did not spend a single penny on agents fees last season.

The spend on agents could be considered a necessary cost of professional football in the modern game and the O’s can feel their business made financial and footballing sense as they ended up finishing seventh in the league in the last campaign.
