Goalkeeper Gary Woods has become Leyton Orient’s third summer signing, putting pen-to-paper on a two-year deal.

The 23 year-old joins Orient after his contract with Championship club Watford expired at the end of June.

Woods, who was released by Manchester United in 2008, signed for Watford in 2013 but failed to establish himself ahead of Manuel Almunia during his time at the club, not making a single appearance.

Before joining Watford, Woods spent four years at Doncaster Rovers and made 49 appearances during the 2012-13 season in which they finished as champions of League One.

Woods is expected to begin the season as back-up to Adam Legzdins, who signed for Orient at the start of June.

Welcome Gary!
