Leyton Orient are believed to be set to make a bid for Coventry City midfielder Carl Baker.

According to the Coventry Telegraph, Russell Slade is a keen admirer of the 31-year-old and wants to bring him to E10 to fill the void left by Moses Odubajo.

Baker caused Orient a number of problems throughout the four meetings between the O’s and Coventry last season, scoring twice.

The midfielder scored at Brisbane Road in the Capital One Cup and also opened the scoring when Orient lost for the first time in the league at Coventry last October.

Baker was recently replaced as Coventry captain by summer signing Reda Johnson and may be looking for a new challenge after four years at the Sky Blues.

Would you be happy if the Coventry man joined?
