Stevenage progressed through to the Semi-finals of the Southern Section for this season Johnstone’s Paint Trophy after beating Orient 3-2 at Broadhall Way.

All the action happened in a crazy first half where the hosts rushed into a two goal lead before David Mooney pulled one back for the visitors.

Moments later Stevenage added a third via the penalty spot before being forced down to 10 men when Roarie Deacon was sent off.

Lloyd James netted a late first half penalty to bring the O’s back into the contest but it wasn’t enough as Stevenage held on to go win.

Full report to follow later.
