Leyton Orient have wrapped up their first signing of the summer in the form of goalkeeper Jake Larkins.

The 19 year old stopper joins the club on a one-year contract after being released by former club West Ham earlier on in the summer.

Larkins has had loan spells at non league Grays Athletic and Billericay in 2012 as well as featuring regularly in the West Ham Under 21’s squad.

Goalkeeping coach Kevin Dearden expressed his delight at capturing the young keeper.

‘The Gaffer (Russell Slade), Kev (Nugent) and I liked what we saw and we believe he will be a valuable member of the squad and be able to push Jamie (Jones) for a starting place straight away.’

OrientVital would like to wish Jake all the best during his stay in E10.
