Leyton Orient are believed to be keeping tabs on Welsh goalkeeper Owain Fon Williams.

The goalkeeper, 27, will be allowed to leave Tranmere Rovers on a free transfer this summer, despite having a year left on his current deal, after activating a clause in his contract following Rovers’ relegation to League Two.

Fon Williams, who was called up for Wales by Chris Coleman last season, signed for Tranmere in 2011 from Rochdale and quickly established himself as number one, making a total of 140 appearances.

If Fon Williams is to sign, he will have to battle Adam Legzdins for the Orient number one jersey but according to Sky Sports, the O’s will have to overcome Championship sides Blackpool and Ipswich Town to secure the Welshman’s signature.
