Leyton Orient secured their first home win of the year as the defeated Oldham 3-0.

Andrea Dossena bagged his first goal for the club on the 4th minute to get the ball rolling before Jobi McAnuff was brought down inside the box and Orient were awarded a penalty.

David Mooney scored the resulting spot-kick to register his 50th goal in an Orient shirt as the O’s took a 2-0 lead into the break.

With 25 minutes remaining Oldham were the awarded a penalty of their own as Mathieu Baudry was adjudged to have fouled substitute Rhys Murphy.

On loan goalkeeper Alex Cisak was then the hero as he guessed correctly to keep out Jonathan Forte’s effort before Liam Kelly’s rebound attempt came back off the bar.

Orient then sealed the win in stoppage time when Jay Simpson marked his first appearance of 2015 with a goal deep into stoppage time.

Despite the victory Orient remain 23rd in League 1 due to teams around them also picking up points.
