Leyton Orient have announced the signing of Jobi McAnuff, subject to a medical.

The winger has signed a two-year deal with Orient following his release from Championship side Reading back in May.

The 32-year-old started his career at Wimbledon where he made 104 appearances before having brief spells at both West Ham and Cardiff.

McAnuff then signed for Crystal Palace in 2005 but following two years at Selhurst Park, moved to Watford for £1.75m. The Jamaican made 92 appearances for Watford but left for Reading in 2009.

It was whilst at Reading that McAnuff has enjoyed the best spell of his career, making 206 appearances for the Royals during his five years at the club, as well as captaining the team to the Championship title in 2012.

McAnuff has eight international caps for Jamaica and is expected to undergo a medical with the club over the weekend, making it unlikely that he will feature in the O’s friendly at Northampton this weekend.

Welcome Jobi!
