Elliot Omozusi spoke of his delight after putting pen to paper on another year at Brisbane Road.

The 24-year old defender rejoined the club in January after being released from his contract in November 2011 as he was convicted of intimidating a witness at a murder trial.

Speaking after signing the deal, the former Fulham man stated his desire to be playing regular football come next season.

‘I can’t wait to get playing again. The gaffer and the coaching staff all believe me and I believe in myself so I just want to get back to the level I feel I can be at.’

Gaffer Russell Slade showed a lot of faith in allowing Omozusi to return after his prison sentence and the defender wants to repay the trust shown in him.

‘The Club, the fans and the Gaffer have all shown a lot of faith in me over the last couple of years and I owe it to them and feel that we can make a great partnership going forwards.’
