David Mooney admitted that the O`s were fortunate to get through an early storm to claim a vital three points in the O`s play-off hunt.

Speaking after the match, the Irishman stated that despite holding a two goal lead at half time it could have easily been a reverse scoreline.

“At half time, we were saying that we could have been two or three down. Maybe that`s the bit of luck we need.”

Mooney also praised the return of midfielder Jimmy Smith. The former QPR man has seen the majority of recent games from the bench, but he played a starring role against Bury as he netted the first and provided the assist from which the striker scored the second.

“And thankfully we given (the opportunity) to Jimmy, whose come in today. And to be fair he hasn`t played as much football as he would have liked, but he scored and he set up my goal so credit to him.”

Up next for Orient is a trip to Mooney`s former club Colchester United. Whilst he will be happy to see some familiar faces, the striker is determined to achieve another positive result.

“Obviously they (Colchester) have struggled this year, but they`re a good club and I know Joe (Dunne) and his assistant Mark (Kinsella) really well, so we`ll be going there looking for the three points.”
