As Leyton Orient continue to be linked to a number of new signings, the latest name to be mentioned is Australian-born defender Shane Lowry.

The 25-year-old was released by Millwall at the end of last season and according to Sky Sports, Orient are currently in pole position to sign the defender.

The left-back began his career at Aston Villa but after loan spells at Plymouth, Leeds, Sheffield United and Millwall, opted to join The Lions on a permanent basis in January 2012.

Lowry would add Championship experience to the O’s side and his arrival could see Elliot Omozusi revert to right-back next season, but is also said to also be considering offers from overseas as well as a number of Championship clubs.

How would you feel about Lowry joining the O’s?
