Kevin Lisbie`s penalty earned Leyton Orient a battling point as they had to come back from behind to claim a share of the spoils at Notts County.

Neal Bishop had put the hosts ahead just after the half hour mark, but it wasn’t enough as their faint play-off hopes took a big dent.

The O`s started the game the brighter team and thought they had taken the lead just after 10 minutes. Martin Rowlands powerful drive could only be pushed into the path of Charlie Macdonald by Notts keeper Bartosz Bialkowski, who duly tapped it home only for it to be ruled out as MacDonald was offside.

Despite the away side seeming to be in control of the match, they fell behind on 31 minutes. Moses Odubajo lost possession, which led to a County counter attack. After neat interplay with Francois Zoko, Neal Bishop curled the ball past Jamie Jones to give the Magpies the lead.

Jimmy Smith almost gave Orient an instant reply but his thunderous shot cannoned back off the crossbar to the frustration of everyone in an O`s shirt as County took the lead into half time.

The home side almost extended their lead in the second half with 10 minutes gone. Jeff Hughes crossed the ball from the left hand side into the path of substitute Yoann Arquin who tamely shot into the path of Jones when he had more time to consider his strike.

They were made to pay for that missed opportunity as an Orient substitute would make a far greater impact. Kevin Lisbie had been only on the pitch five minutes when he slotted away a penalty after Charlie MacDonald was fouled inside the area.

Orient almost grabbed the lead when Leon McSweeney provided Romain Vincelot with the perfect cross, but the Frenchman squandered the chance as he put it wide.

In a frantic final ten minutes, the game became open as County began heaving pressure on the visitors in search of a winner. However the O`s remained resolute to ensure they took a point back to E10.
