Martin Ling is looking for showdown talks with Leyton Orient’s owner Barry Hearn. Ling is looking for money in order to bolster the squad and feels that he needs at least a couple more players to keep the team in the race for promotion.

Ling said: ‘There is a board meeting on Thursday, and we need to have a good chat face-to-face. I feel we are one or two players short. If I could get those players in, we would be in a position where I could see us finishing the job.’

Adding: ‘I will find out if there is money to spend on Thursday, but we need another centre-half and another centre-forward. We have only three centre-halves and four centre-forwards in the building, so injuries or suspensions to those players would leave me with a bit of a problem.’

Meanwhile, 25 year old defender Joe Dolan has returned from his loan spell at Stockport.
