Orient face strugglers Swindon Town tomorrow night, looking for three points that would guide us further away from the drop zone.

The recent runs of both teams put the O’s as firm favourites for the clash. Whilst we have lost only 1 in 17, Swindon have only won 1 in 10.

Russell Slade will be struggling with a few injury concerns for the game, Adam Chambers is likely to be unavailable but Ben Chorley will hopefully sure up the defence alongside Terrell Forbes after missing Saturday’s game with Bournemouth. Orient will also be without Paul-Jose Mpoku, who is away on international duty.

Swindon could be boosted by the returns of many key players, including David Lucas, Billy Bodin, Vincent Pericard and Lecsinel Jean-Francois.

The last meeting between the two teams was an entertaining 2-2 draw earlier this season.

Tomorrow’s game is another chance to catch-up on our games in hand and put a little breathing space between us and the bottom four.

On paper Swindon are an easier test than recent opposition but they will come to Brisbane Road desperate for three points. Whilst they have struggled this season, their success last season shows there is still league 1 quality in the team.

Slade had the luxury of resting key players on Saturday and hopefully the likes of Alex Revell, Scott McGleish, and Matt Spring will return to the starting line up fresh and ready to go.

The possible return of Ben Chorley, who missed Saturday’s clash with injury, could be key in the heart of the defence. Mistakes crept into our defensive game against Bournemouth and Chorley’s leadership and calming presence at the back is key.

I predict a 2-0 victory for the O’s, with the returning first-team players being crucial in guiding us to victory.
