Eldin Jakupovic has been recalled by Premiership side Hull City for a second time after first-choice goalkeeper Allan McGregor was sent off and injured in the process during their 2-1 loss at West Ham on Wednesday.

The shot stopper had become a fan’s favourite during his two spells at Orient this season, having initially joined at the start of January only to be recalled by Hull later on that month. The goalkeeper then rejoined the O’s to complete his loan midway through February.

Jakupovic’s loan spell was due to expire after the Wolves match on April 21 but has been brought to an abrupt end.

The Bosnian enjoyed a successful period at the club as he made 13 appearances in an O’s shirt, only conceding six goals and keeping seven clean sheets in the process. Jakupovic only tasted defeat once whilst at Orient, which came in the 1-0 loss to Brentford.

Orient goalkeeper Jamie Jones recently returned to the bench following three months out injured so may start against Bradford on Saturday but Russell Slade may opt to bring in another keeper on loan whilst Jones continues to regain full fitness.
