Leyton Orient’s latest pre-season friendly saw Charlton visiting the Matchroom Stadium on Saturday, which ended in a draw.

A breakthrough wasn’t something either side could make with this ending in a nil-nil stalemate.

Jay Simpson had the best chance for Orient but last seasons top goalscorer for the O’s could take his first half chance.

Orient – Cisak (Sargeant 61), Clohessy (Judd 77), Kennedy (Doherty 80), Erichot, Parkes (Brown 61), Weir (Moore 61), Massey (Koroma 77), Kelly (Atangana 61), Semedo (Cox 46), Bowery (McCallum 66), Simpson (Palmer 72).
Subs – Gnanduillet.

Charlton – Phillips, Konsa, Fox (Holmes-Dennis 72), Jackson, Johnson, Teixeira (Thomas 79), Harriott (Ceballos 87), Muldoon, Novak (Ba 82), Hanlan (Ahearne-Grant 72), Holmes.
Subs – Mitov.

Hessenthaler told the Official Website he was ‘pleased with a number of aspects of his side’s play during the goalless draw’ and was also happy ‘at the chances created by the hosts’ with the ‘organisation at the back’ something to build on, making it back-to-back clean sheets,

The boss feels to have ‘plenty of selection dilemmas’ ahead of him is a nice thing to have ahead of the League 2 opener against Cheltenham on 6th August.
