Anthony Griffith has returned to his former club Port Vale on loan until the end of the season.

The 26-year old has struggled for opportunities since the turn of the year with his last appearance in an O`s shirt coming in the 2-2 draw against Southend United in the Johnstone`s Paint Trophy regional final second leg.

The Montserrat international joined the club in May last summer on a two year deal, with the options of extending the contract to a third. But he has been unable to cement a first team place, despite impressing early on in his Orient career.

It is likely this deal means that O`s boss Russell Slade will look to offload the defensive midfielder in the summer permanently.
