Orient striker Efe Echanomi became the third of Orient`s out-of-contract players to commit themselves to the club after singing a new one-year deal.

The 20-year-old has been unfortunate with a series of injuries since breaking his leg in November 2005, but he returned to fitness towards the end of the season and made three appearances from the subs bench.

O’s boss Martin Ling is delighted that Echanomi, who has eight senior goals to his name, has put pen to paper.

He said: ‘It’s nice to see Efe become the third of our ten out-of-contract players to sign.

‘It was great to see him firing on all cylinders at the end of last season and he will be a good component of our striking department.

He has got to work hard between now and the start of pre-season in order to keep up the fitness levels he has built up and we’re all looking forward to seeing bigger and better things from Efe in 2007/08.”
