Leyton Orient travel to local rivals Dagenham & Redbridge for their FA Cup First Round clash, looking to bounce back after their disappointing league defeat at Colchester.

O’s manager Russell Slade told

‘A cup run would be great, making progress in this competition is something that everybody wants to do during those long winter months and we want to make sure we do that on Saturday.’

Dagenham & Redbridge Team News:

The home side will not be able to call on the services of defender Scott Doe and goalkeeper Tony Roberts due to injury.

Player to watch: Victor Palsson

The young midfielder has joined the Daggers on loan from Liverpool and will be looking to make a bright start to his Dagenham career.

Leyton Orient Team News:

Russell Slade could be without many first team regulars with Scott McGleish, Paul-José Mpoku, Stephen Dawson, Dean Cox and Charlie Daniels all doubts for the game. On loan defender Andrew Whing is also ineligible.

Player to watch: Matthew Spring

Spring’s passing ability and composure on the ball could be key to Orient’s attacking success tomorrow, especially if many other key players are unavailable.

Match Facts & Stats

The last meeting between the two ended in a disappointing 2-0 league win for Dagenham & Redbridge in September.

Last season Orient went out in the FA Cup First Round to Tranmere whilst the Daggers exited the cup at the same stage, losing to Huddersfield.

Match Prediction:

Leyton Orient will be looking to bounce back after their defeat at Colchester on Tuesday and the loss to Saturday’s opposition back in September.

Orient’s away form in the cup has been impressive but Slade may travel with a weakened squad due to injury. A tight victory for the O’s and progression in the cup would be a realistic aim for Orient.
