Dean Cox fired a 101st minute winner to hand Leyton Orient a crucial win at Chesterfield.

The O’s had fallen behind on the 19th minute when Jay O’Shea scored from the penalty spot after Nathan Clarke had been deemed to have fouled Caolan Lavery inside the box.

Orient bagged a first half equaliser however when Dean Cox got in behind the Chesterfield defence and squared the ball for David Mooney to tap home.

Defender Elliot Omozusi then had a moment to forget in the second half when he volleyed the ball into his own net to put the Spireites 2-1 up.

Mooney then grabbed his second of the afternoon with 20 minutes remaining with a low shot into the bottom corner from outside the box.

With the game looking destined for a draw Orient then won the game in the 11th minute of stoppage time as Chesterfield goalkeeper Tommy Lee made a hash of Marvin Bartley’s cross and Cox nipped in to fire home the winner.
